Many young people don’t feel confident going through the normal process when applying for a job, so Adept Corporate Services and Manchester City Council have developed a programme to create employment opportunities for care leavers and other young people.

Arranged by the MCC Virtual Schools Employment, Education and Training lead, Ed Salmon, members of the Adept management team spend time with these young people every month to talk about careers in the security and cleaning industries. Those who show an enthusiasm to join these industries, are then supported through the application with a guarantee of a formal interview.
