From cobots to contract wins (hopefully), last week gave us a lot to get excited about.
We kicked things off by attending the ID25 Chespack Cobotic Forum – hosted by our brilliant cleaning partner, Chespack. The event was packed with innovation, new technology, and future-facing solutions in the cleaning space. We left inspired, with a few ideas already in motion – a huge thanks to the Chespack team for pushing the industry forward and making us proud to partner with you.
Alongside that, we’ve been busy putting together a major tender submission for cleaning and security at a large shopping centre, and we presented for a potential new cleaning contract that could see over 15 team members TUPE across to Adept. We’re hopeful we’ll have some good news to share in next week’s update.
What’s always interesting in these moments is the chance to step back and take stock. Building these documents is about more than ticking boxes – it’s a reflection of how far we’ve come.
A few years ago, we were a close-knit group with some bold ideas. Now, we’ve built a business grounded in strong values – innovation, inclusion, community, and sustainability. We’ve got an infrastructure that supports meaningful growth, a team we’re proud of, and a culture that puts people first.
Whether it’s ESG, our Real Living Wage and Real Living Hours accreditations, the work of our Culture Committee, or our partnerships with organisations like City of Trees and the Embassy charity – everything we do is built on making a positive impact.
And on a personal note… as a lifelong Burnley fan, Saturday was a good one – back to the top of the league, six games to go. It’s tight, but it’s in our hands. Here’s hoping I can report on two wins next week – one for Burnley, and one for the team here at Adept.
